By profession, Christal Williams is an English teacher. She is also an advocate of the arts and sees the cultural capital that pupils would benefit from by embracing the arts and history of their heritage. Christal works in a school that is around 90% Muslim and believes there would be an increase uptake of the arts if young people could see themselves more in the arts sector and the artists to whom they are exposed.
Christal brings to MIAH her unique insight as an educator working with young people, her connections to both primary and secondary schools in the West Midlands, and her passion to connect young people with their creativity and the broader arts and cultural sector through provision that includes the arts and history of their heritage and faith.
