We have successfully launched our Calligraphy Club and are looking foward to all future sessions.
Join us at MIAH Gallery for relaxed Arabic calligraphy sessions in the Naskh script on every first and third Saturday of the month, starting on the 1st of June. Using traditional reed pens, we will practice letters and strokes at a leisurely pace, making this class perfect for unwinding. With lessons based around published practice sheets and real-life examples, this club will educate and offer a spiritual journey through the art of calligraphy.

Tickets
We would like to make this workshop as accessible as possible and so have subsidised the price of the tickets. However, we still need to make a small charge for entry to help cover our costs. To guarantee your place, please book your tickets in advance using the link. We will allow tickets to be purchased at the door, however, this is subject to availability and on busy days this may not be possible.
Standard Single Ticket: £8 (+ ticket fees).
(Standard) Register for all 10 sessions for the price of 8: £64 (+ ticket fees)- You can still join the course, and if you pay for the full subscription, you'll receive the worksheets for any weeks you miss.
Suitable for ages 14 years +. Over 10 sessions, you'll have gained basic understanding of the Naskh script and take home a complete final piece. The ability to read Arabic is helpful but not required. All materials are provided.
Please note we are running these sessions in response to feedback to create peer facilitated sessions to help those who want to regularly practice and develop their calligraphy. We use templates and guides produced by traditionally trained calligraphers but the session is led an artist still developing their calligraphic practice. This is reflected in the price we have set.
