
Led by Gulnaz Fatima Mahboob, an acclaimed Islamic Calligrapher trained in Istanbul by Grand Master Hasan Celebi, this intensive 6-hour workshop offers a practical introduction to Naskh script, the traditional script used for copying the Qur'an.
Participants will learn the art of Islamic Calligraphy 'Hüsnühat', mastering letter construction, traditional tools like the reed qalam, and pen angles and strokes. Through hands-on guidance, they'll progress from basic strokes to creating a final calligraphic piece, exploring both technique and tradition.
The course is open to people of all abilities and backgrounds including those who
have an interest in writing. No knowledge of written or spoken Arabic is required. Participants with prior experience in calligraphy can attend.
