Palestine Activation Day:

This event is being brought to you as part of Palestine Activation Day on 20th January 2024. Over 60 creatives and several arts organisations in Birmingham have come together to organise a post-protest afternoon of drop-in activities and information sharing in response to the genocide in Palestine. For this Activation Day, sessions will focus on VISIBILITY and DISRUPTION. Make a solidarity badge, design and print posters, embroider a patch (tatreez), make stickers, learn more through film screenings and discussions. The Mix Cafe at The Old Print Works will be operating as a community space for protesters and a prayer area will also be available. The MIAH Gallery will be offering a tatreez workshop (traditional Palestinian cross-stitch embroidery) at 4pm-5:30pm and followed 6om-7pm with a session on prayers for the oppressed

3-6.30pm: Drop-in activities across the MIAH Gallery, The GAP and the Old Prints Works
6.30pm: Refreshments and Snacks (vegetarian)
7pm : Facilitated Group Discussion

All welcome — family friendly
