Join us at the MIAH Gallery for a special 3-hour workshop from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on 15th February 2025, where participants will create their very own Persian miniature painting inspired by traditional tree motifs. Our resident artist Areeba Ammad has been developing her knowledge and understanding of Persian paintings over the last two months as part of an apprenticeship. She will give a brief presentation at the beginning of the workshop before working with the group to create your own Persian landscape. Whether you are a beginner or have previous experience in painting, this session will offer a creative and rewarding journey into the world of Persian miniature art.
All materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.

ABOUT MIAH FOUNDATION EVENTS:
The MIAH Foundation is dedicated to promoting awareness and understanding of the history, arts, culture, and heritage of the Islamic world, as well as the history of Muslims in Britain and Europe, through exhibitions, education, workshops, and events. We also aim to increase the representation and engagement of people of color and minority groups of Muslim heritage with the arts, culture, and heritage sector, by offering provisions that respect their faith and cultural identities.
Our long-term goal is to raise funds for the establishment of the UK’s first independent museum dedicated to the arts and heritage of Muslims and the Islamic world.
